(KX.78269 J.M. Boyne, S.P.O., R.N.) and Geo.Vl (1st type) Royal Naval Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (KX.78269 J.M. Boyne, Ch. Sto., H.M.S. Vansittart).
HMS "Vansittart" was a 'W' Class destroyer that saw service throughout the Second World War - and is credited with the sinking of U-102 on the 1st July 1940.

HMS "Columbine" was a destroyer depot at Port Edgar, Firth of Forth.

With copy Service Sheet - which shows that he was born at Devonport on the 19th October 1902, and enlisted (as a Boy Artificer) on the 4th January 1918.

HMS "Firedrake" was an "F" class destroyer, built in 1934, which was torpedoed and sunk on the 17th December 1942.
